FeedFry.com

I created a news website called FeedFry. It helps you find the news that you're interested in no matter where it's published. And, if you know what RSS is you can subscribe and get it delivered straight to your newsreader.

My current favorite Fry is the Dallas Cowboys newspage. What's yours?

Firefox Speed Tweaks

I got this email from my brother:

Here's something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up:

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.

1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries and alter them as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

2. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!

Ben says: I tried it and it works! Wow! Why don't they just ship Firefox this way?

Voice of Reason: Exposing the Da Vinci Hoax

Voice of Reason: Exposing the Da Vinci Hoax

I am constantly reminding people, especially Christians, that The Da Vinci Code is FICTION. And, I might add, a great read...if you accept that it is FICTION. I also like the new Battlestar Gallactica tv show and The Lord of the Rings books. ALSO FICTION. Whew.

The article above says "... is apparently unrepentant..." about smudging the facts a bit. I wonder: Does that help him sell less books...or MORE BOOKS. Hmm.....

Star Wars Episode Three: A Lost Hope [Revenge of the Sith parody preview]

SEQUENTIAL Pictures \\\ Star Wars Episode Three: A Lost Hope [Revenge of the Sith parody preview]

This is the funniest thing I think I've ever seen on the 'net. Easily passing the election "This Land" parody. I laughed until I cried. It was better than Cats.
